End-of-Year Celebration & Fundraiser for Fernwood Montessori

​Hosted near the end of the school year, Fernwood Flights is a vibrant and festive annual event celebrating the end of the school year at The Sugar Maple. This special gathering brings together Fernwood parents, teachers, and members of the local community for an afternoon of beer tasting, connection, and support for the school. The event typically features a mix of activities such as:

  • Live Music
  • Outdoor Patio & Grill
  • Silent Auction
  • Live Auction: A highlight of the event, where attendees can bid on a variety of exciting items and experiences donated by local businesses, families, and supporters of Fernwood Montessori.

The funds raised during Fernwood Flights are crucial in supporting Fernwood Montessori's programs, facility improvements, and educational resources, ensuring the continued growth and development of this special learning environment for children. ​

Soup & Chili Supper

An annual, family-friendly event held each February where the Fernwood Montessori community gathers in the school café to enjoy a variety of homemade soups and chilis prepared by volunteers. The evening also features a popular bake sale. It’s a great opportunity to connect with other Fernwood families in a relaxed setting while supporting the school. All funds raised help support Fernwood programs and initiatives, making it a fun and meaningful way to celebrate our community and good food.

Fernwood Hot Cocoa Stand at Bernhearts Mitten Fest

Burnhearts Mitten Fest, Milwaukee’s favorite winter block party in Bay View, brings together live music, local food, and craft drinks for a day of community celebration. As part of the festivities, Fernwood Montessori students and parents will run a hot cocoa stand from noon until it’s gone, raising funds to support the Fernwood Fund's educational programming. 
Fernwood New Parent Summer Social

​The Fernwood Montessori Family Summer Social is a laid-back back-to-school event designed to help families connect in August before the school year begins. Hosted at The Exchange in the Bay View Beer Garden at Zillman Park, this family-friendly gathering features plenty of activities for kids, including bubbles, games, and face painting. While the kids enjoy snacks, drinks, and entertainment, parents can relax and socialize in the vibrant atmosphere of the beer garden.
Admiral's Game Fundraiser

Fernwood Fund Night is an annual community fundraiser beginning in 2026, hosted in partnership with the Milwaukee Admirals. Each year, Fernwood families and supporters come together for an exciting night of hockey, featuring a special performance by the Fernwood Montessori Choir and a portion of ticket sales benefiting the Fernwood Fund. Proceeds help support educational experiences and opportunities that extend beyond what traditional funding provides for Fernwood students.
