Soup & Chili Supper

A family-friendly event where the Fernwood Montessori community gathers at the school cafe to enjoy a variety of homemade soups and chilis, prepared by volunteers. The event also features a bake sale. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with other families in a relaxed atmosphere while supporting the school. All funds raised go toward supporting Fernwood’s programs and initiatives, making it a fun and meaningful way to celebrate our community and good food.

Fernwood Hot Cocoa Stand at Bernhearts Mitten Fest
February 7th, 2026 at noon
Burnhearts Mitten Fest, Milwaukee’s favorite winter block party in Bay View, brings together live music, local food, and craft drinks for a day of community celebration. As part of the festivities, Fernwood Montessori students and parents will run a hot cocoa stand from noon until it’s gone, raising funds to support the Fernwood Fund's educational programming.

Hosted near the end of the school year, Fernwood Flights is a vibrant and festive annual event celebrating the end of the school year at The Sugar Maple. This special gathering brings together Fernwood parents, teachers, and members of the local community for an afternoon of beer tasting, connection, and support for the school. The event typically features a mix of activities such as:
- Beer Tasting
- Live Music
- Outdoor Patio & Grill
- Silent Auction
- Live Auction: A highlight of the event, where attendees can bid on a variety of exciting items and experiences donated by local businesses, families, and supporters of Fernwood Montessori.

The Fernwood Montessori Family Summer Social is a laid-back back-to-school event designed to help families connect in August before the school year begins. Hosted at The Exchange in the Bay View Beer Garden at Zillman Park, this family-friendly gathering features plenty of activities for kids, including bubbles, games, and face painting. While the kids enjoy snacks, drinks, and entertainment, parents can relax and socialize in the vibrant atmosphere of the beer garden.
